Hello, dancers!

We hope you'll join us at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center for our beginner-friendly monthly dance on Saturday, June 8th! We'll be enjoying live music from Lilies of the Midwest from 2-5pm!

Monthly Dances at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center

Please join us for beginner-friendly Irish set dances at the Wil-Mar on the second Saturday of the month from 2-5pm. Our next dances are on June 8th and July 13th!

Don't worry if you're not a seasoned set dancer - all dances will be called. We'll be using gender-neutral (raven/lark) terminology. No partner necessary. Please bring clean, non-scuffing shoes and a mug or water bottle!

A suggested donation of $10 contributes to the room rental and music, but no one will be excluded due to inability to pay.

When: Saturdays, June 8th and July 13th, from 2-5pm! If you’re new, come a few minutes early for a quick beginner orientation.

Where: Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer St, Madison, WI 53703

Covid policy: Vaccinations required. Masks welcome but optional. Subject to change based on community health guidelines.

NEW - 4th Mondays Set Dancing

Join us on the 4th Monday of each month for our new regularly-scheduled weeknight dance. For now, these weeknight dances will be hosted in Madison and Middleton, in the homes of two of our dancers. Dancers of all experience levels are welcome. We will be dancing to recorded music.

What: More set dancing!

When: 4th Monday of the month at 7:00

Our next Monday dance is on June 24th from 7-8:30pm at Bryan's house!

Set Dancing in the Midwest

Looking for more set dancing? Check out the offerings in Milwaukee and Chicago! Milwaukee has dancing on many Wednesdays and occasionally on weekends. Chicago has dancing every Tuesday and many Fridays (including live music on June 7th!).

Mark your calendars:

- Milwaukee Irish Fest is August 15-18, with set dancing throughout the weekend at the Dance Pavilion

- Chicago's annual set dance workshop (Alan Beale Workshop Weekend) is October 4-6
