Folk Ball - Set Dance Workshop - January 27th

Folk Ball has invited us to do a set dance workshop as part of their festivities this year! Join us at the UW Memorial Union on Saturday January 27th from 1-3pm! We'll be introducing new and seasoned folk dancers to the joys of set dancing, and we would LOVE to have you all there with us.

"Brush-up" Evening - Thursday in Middleton - February 8th

On Thursday February 8th from 7:30-9pm, we'll be hosting a "brush-up" evening to review set dance skills, answer questions, and practice familiar sets. We're suggesting a donation of $5 for each of these “brush-up” days. (These events are intended for dancers who have experience with the basics of set dancing. If you are brand new, please let us know, so we can help you get started!)

Monthly Dances at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center

Please join us for beginner-friendly Irish set dances at the Wil-Mar on the second Saturday of the month from 2-5pm. Our next dances are on February 10th and March 9th!

Don't worry if you're not a seasoned set dancer - all dances will be called. We'll be using gender-neutral (raven/lark) terminology. No partner necessary. Please bring clean, non-scuffing shoes and a mug or water bottle!

A suggested donation of $10 contributes to the room rental and music, but no one will be excluded due to inability to pay.

When: Saturdays, February 10th and March 9th, from 2-5pm! If you’re new, come a few minutes early for a quick beginner orientation.

Where: Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer St, Madison, WI 53703

Covid policy: Vaccinations required. Masks welcome but optional. Subject to change based on community health guidelines.
