Hello, dancers!

We hope you'll join us at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center for our beginner-friendly monthly dance on Saturday, October 14th! We'll be enjoying live music from Lilies of the Midwest (and friends) from 2-5pm!

Below you can find details on:

(1) Our next monthly dance on Saturday, October 14th,

(2) Beginner workshop on Sunday, October 8th,

(3) "Brush-up" set dance evenings on Thursdays October 5th and October 26th,

(4) House dance on Sunday, October 29th, and

(5) Chicago's upcoming set dance weekend on September 29th-October 1st!

Monthly Dances at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center

Please join us for beginner-friendly Irish set dances at the Wil-Mar on the second Saturday of the month from 2-5pm. Our next dances are on October 14th and November 11th!

Don't worry if you're not a seasoned set dancer - all dances will be called. We'll be using gender-neutral (raven/lark) terminology. No partner necessary. Please bring clean, non-scuffing shoes and a mug or water bottle!

A suggested donation of $10 contributes to the room rental and music, but no one will be excluded due to inability to pay.

When: Saturdays, October 14th and November 11th, from 2-5pm! If you’re new, come a few minutes early for a quick beginner orientation!

Where: Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer St, Madison, WI 53703

Covid policy: Vaccinations required. Masks welcome but optional. Subject to change based on community health guidelines.

Beginner Workshop - October 8th in Middleton

Please join us on October 8th from 2-5pm in Middleton for a beginner "crash course" in set dancing! Come learn the basics of set dancing, taught at a beginner pace. No partner necessary. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a brand new beginner or an experienced dancer! Suggested donation of $10 to support future Madison set dance events.

"Brush-up" Evenings - Thursdays in Middleton - October 5th and 26th

On Thursdays October 5th and 26th from 7:30-9pm, we'll be hosting two "brush-up" evenings to review set dance skills, answer questions, and practice familiar sets. We're suggesting a donation of $5 for each of these “brush-up” days. (These events are intended for dancers who have experience with the basics of set dancing. If you are brand new, please let us know, so we can help you get started!)

House Dance in Middleton - Sunday, October 29th

We are hosting a house dance in Middleton on Sunday, October 29th, from 2-5pm. House dances are a time-honored tradition in the set dance world, bringing us back to our crowded cottage roots. The event will be informal and lots of fun!
