Hello, dancers!

We hope you'll join us at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center for our beginner-friendly monthly dance on Saturday, December 9th! We'll be enjoying live music from Capitol Ceili Band from 2-5pm!

Below you can find details on:

Monthly Dances at the Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center

Please join us for beginner-friendly Irish set dances at the Wil-Mar on the second Saturday of the month from 2-5pm. Our next dances are on December 9th and January 13th!

Don't worry if you're not a seasoned set dancer - all dances will be called. We'll be using gender-neutral (raven/lark) terminology. No partner necessary. Please bring clean, non-scuffing shoes and a mug or water bottle!

A suggested donation of $10 contributes to the room rental and music, but no one will be excluded due to inability to pay.

When: Saturdays, December 9th and January 13th, from 2-5pm! If you’re new, come a few minutes early for a quick beginner orientation!

Where: Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center, 953 Jenifer St, Madison, WI 53703

Covid policy: Vaccinations required. Masks welcome but optional. Subject to change based on community health guidelines.

"Brush-up" Evening - Thursday in Middleton - December 7th

On Thursday December 7th from 7:30-9pm, we'll be hosting a "brush-up" evening to review set dance skills, answer questions, and practice familiar sets. We're suggesting a donation of $5 for each of these “brush-up” days. (These events are intended for dancers who have experience with the basics of set dancing. If you are brand new, please let us know, so we can help you get started!)

Chicago - December 1st - Francis O'Neill Club is hosting a ceili with live music at the Irish American Heritage Center!

Waukesha - December 13th - Milwaukee's set dance group is hosting their annual Holiday Ceili! More info here.

Chicago - December 31st - Francis O'Neill Club is hosting a New Year's Eve ceili with live music at the Irish American Heritage Center. The event will run from 5:30-9pm (to celebrate the new year in "Irish time"!). They are asking for RSVPs by 12/22. If you're interested in attending but aren't on their email list, please let us know and we will forward you the RSVP link.
